Delegation

DIN Node Network introduces a delegation feature to provide more choices for node users to run the node and enhance the combinability of node operation methods for node operators.

Introduction to the Delegation Mechanism

  • Node NFT holders (delegators) can delegate the operation rights of their Node License to node operators (delegatees).

  • The delegatee can obtain the License from the Node NFT holder.

  • The delegatee can use the License to run the Node program for mining.

  • If the Node meets the daily online requirements, the delegatee and the Node NFT holder share the node's earnings.

Who Can Become an Operator?

The delegation mechanism uses a whitelist system, currently allowing only node operators to participate.

  • Node operators submit the application form.

  • If everything is fine, the DIN team will contact you and add these addresses to the whitelist.

How to Delegate

Step 1: Choose the Delegatee

  • Navigate to the 'Delegate' page and select the 'Operators' page.

  • Select the individual you wish to delegate your node to.

  • Decide the commission Rate: The percentage split of each xDIN network rewards collected. For example, if the node is rewarded 10 xDIN as rewards and the commission is 10%, the node owner receives 9 xDIN, and the node delegatee receives 1 xDIN.

Step 2: Tap on 'Delegate'

  • After choosing your delegatee, click on the 'Delegate' button to initiate the process.

Step 3: Select the Node

  • From the list, select the specific node you want to delegate.

  • Review the details to ensure it’s the correct node.

Step 4: Confirm Delegation

  • Input the commission rate. The default commission rate is a reasonable rate calculated by DIN based on market conditions but feel free to modify it.

  • Confirm your delegation by following the on-screen prompts.

  • Once confirmed, your node will be successfully delegated to the chosen delegatee.

Check Node Status

Once you've delegated your node, you can monitor its performance on the 'Run by Operators' page. This section provides real-time updates on the operator's activities and the node's overall status. If you find that your chosen operator is underperforming or not meeting your expectations, you have the option to revoke the delegation at any time.

The network rewards, after deducting the commission from the delegation, will be displayed in the table.
